Can someone explain to me the obsession people have with making characters that don't play nice with others, think they're the hottest shit since sliced bread, and proceed to be assholes to everyone around them? I don't get it. I really don't. There are at least four female characters in a game I'm in (who seem to have this affliction more than male characters in my experience) who are just terrible to play with. They skulk around, whining about how "bored" they are and how "awesome" they are at fighting. When their character isn't getting attention, they randomly start whining about how  terrible their lives are and how everyone should pity them. And then they pick fights with the people who actually have proven they're bad to mess with.

Oh, and these girls? They're beautiful. None of them have scarring from all these intense, bad-ass fights they've gotten in. No one can beat them. They're such tough shit that the rocks roll out of their way when they walk by.

Now, I don't mind a character who's snappy and doesn't always play nice, but no one makes these girls happy. One even whines about how she has no friends, but when the other characters attempt to be nice and make friends, they get blown off. I just don't get it.

Oh baaaaawwwww, someone cool who actually likes to remind people that there are rules, few as they are! How terrible and how mean! Good job trying to put down someone perfectly nice trying to help make the comm a better place. Kindly shunt off and stick to trolling BRPS.

So. You complained that... The people in your plot thread where you NPC a bad guy are fighting against him and actually finding a way to beat him despite his OMG gravity-powers? ... Wasn't that the point of the whole thing, people fighting your NPC bad guy to avenge the fact that he killed your PC? No? They were supposed blunder around and futily try to go against your NPC-baddie or mourn the loss of your PC or otherwise dance to the beat of your drum despite not being privvy to what you want them to do? I see.

... Aaand now you're whining and stomping your foot like a 5-year-old who isn't getting that candy he wanted right now and blaming the others for more or less ruining your mojo when you're the one who didn't count all the variables, that is, the human element into your plotting? Greaaaaaaat.

Look, if you want to play the puppetmaster to multiple people and get things done exactly the way you want them to be done, I suggest you invest in some Sims. Just sayin'.

PS: Please look up the meaning of "karma" before using it, because I'm pretty sure no one else can ruin your karma for you by simply being IC. Unless, of course, by "karma" you meant "ego". Then the sentence would be correct.

I'm tired of explaining this over and over again. We can't set a schedule for our games.

This seriously perturbs one of the guys in our group very much. He works an 8-5 desk job Monday through Friday, and is free to do what he wants in between those times. My husband doesn't have a job like that. He doesn't know until the night before what he's working. It's just the nature of the beast. And this probably wouldn't be so bad, except for three other guys in the group have the same job and the same lack of a schedule.

We do our best to say, "Well, here's a tentative date..." and that's never good enough.

He's a good role player, but the fact that he can't be sympathetic towards four men who can't have a schedule is getting annoying. I'm seriously considering not even inviting him to play in any of my games.

It's strange. Again. Just when things were getting better then he had to show up and ruin everything. Maeglin sometimes known as Lomion fought the urge to spit. They would all see, though. Tuor and Turgon and all the rest who looked askance at him for being his father's son and thought the seed of madness or evil was simply lurking waiting to sprout. And then the Orcs, and the gates, and his voice shivering in his bones... but that was done with now. He had bargained with the Dark Lord and lived.

And they would just see, wouldn't they.

It is at this point, in his rambling and dark-tinged thoughts, that the young elf thinks to look up. Or - not young, per se, but just into his prime - youthful, still, though it doesn't show in his dark and too-sharp eyes, coloring that of his mother if his stature is more that of his father. And looking up, stops. Frowns. Narrows his eyes.

This has to be Tuor's idea, somehow. He saw that Lomion would get in his way and conspired to send him - no matter. No matter, there would be a way back, it is only an illusion. And he said if any problems cropped up there would be ways to contact him... so he's not entirely lost.

Mun: Lomion, in Quenya, or more commonly Maeglin, from The Silmarillion. Retypist, reintro'd, reset, all that. Son of Eol and Aredhel, raised adopted by Turgon an orphan, obsessed with his cousin Idril, the only Elf ever to consciously betray his kind to Morgoth. Might be a little screwed up. Have at! He can totally manage normal conversation.

Probably the only show on MuchMusic I watch is 'Video On Trial'. These days I am horrifyingly attracted to Boomer Phillips. Like, damn, I want to ... Hang out with him? Seriously. I want him to drive me around Toronto in his car or something. The trial for David Archuleta's 'Crush' is lulz. 'So this is what second place on American Idol gets you these days; a shitty fucking video in cottage country'.

July 14
  1. 11:00 - Hair appointment. Get highlights or something and hair curled.
  2. 4:00-9:30 - Work the Booster Juice stand at Taste of Saskatchewan.
  3. 9:30 - Go home and get dressed for HARREH POTTAH
  4. 12:00 - OMG HARREH POTTAH

July 15
  1. 12:00-3:00 - work at UPS
  2. 9:30 - Meet with Mumsy to collect Dad's pocket watch. Omg I've been waiting for that watch forever and dreaming about it and omg YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW EXCITED I AM FOR THIS KIND OF CLOSURE.
  3. 9:45 - Check in at Royal University Hospital Emergency.
  4. 11:00 - MRI. Yes, they do MRIs until midnight now! CONVENIENT.
Yeah, I'm really anxious for Dad's watch. Mum went over to his house and got it for me. I haven't been to his house since before he died, and have been dreaming of going to get that watch since he said I could have it in the hospital. I used to pull it out of his pocket and play with it all the damn time, and I'll always remember how my hand felt reaching into his faded jeans before curling around it and pulling it out. I remember it so vividly, and to have it for my very own is going to be really nice and really bizarre. On the one hand, my god, it's Dad's watch. I HAVE WANTED THIS. On the other, dude, wtf. Dad should have his watch, not me. Death changes things. I wanted to finally spread his ashes this year, but things the way they are ... Not gonna happen. Sigh.

Harreh Pottah Herreh Pottah.

Emo bards make everything better, and Tuesdays are Emo Bard Day. At least, in this country.

Whatever the day is, though, Daeron is sitting out by the lake, on his back with his harp nearby, eyes closed and contemplating...something. Who knows what it is? Probably Luthien, though, because when is he not? At any rate, though, he's very very busy. And would hate to be interrupted in his serious contemplation. By all means, poke him - he could do with a little conversation, as long as you don't mind the inevitable snark and bitterness that will probably result.

No.
You constantly insult all the mod groups. You pick fights with the mods. You instigate fights. You frame people. You try and blackmail people. You can't spell (despite constantly insisting you're a genius...not to mention the fact that you clearly have no idea what a lot of what you say means). You have been within a hair's breadth of being temp-banned no less than twice. Your RP posts range from self-ego-stroking to thinly veiled godmodding to blatant metagaming. You pick fights with the admin. You start hot topics that will quickly devolve into flamefests.

Then you say 'I'm not leaving the site until I get Admin or banned.'

Guess which one is more likely the way you act, dumbass.

Alright, so you- Yeah, you, miss disappearing for a month with no warning. The one who said you'd post in a few days... About three weeks ago?

Posting, then deleting that post (which we count as bumping, which is against the rules,) was one strike in my head. PMing me saying you read the posts, and asking me what had been happening, second strike, but I'm a baseball girl. So I'll give you one more.

Saying you've been out of town, and just got back, when you've made over 500 posts in the past three days in the public forums, and saying you started a guild today... If I were the GM, you'd have been declared out.

So, you better not whine when I admit that I'll act like a bitch to you, and for these exact reasons. This player? No shortcut. You've told the GM that you genuinely want to improve your roleplaying skills. So it's time you learn.

Surprisingly less murderous today while working. No idea why, since we were back to burying traps ... maybe because it wasn't quite so hot and humid.

Worked 9.5 hrs, 8-5.30.

I enjoy playing with most of the people in my usual group, but one guy, Dunderhead, is starting to get on my nerves. His main transgression is his tendency to play every character he creates the same way every damn time. His halfling cleric, both Mage characters, and his Nightmare Tager? Abrasive good-guy jackasses, every single last one of them.

We just started new D&D 4.0 game, and he's doing the same thing. At one point my rogue, being rather close to having more blood on the outside than the inside, uses King's Castle to switch with his warden. Well, since that movie requires the switch-ee to be willing, Dunderhead throws a fit and refuses to switch, even though he's intentionally playing the Resident Meat Shield. The bard has to remind him that he signed a contract to work for said bard, and if the rogue dies Dunderhead's character can just go fuck himself sideways.

Dunderhead then proceeds to throw himself back on the couch, pout, and start bitching about how none of us are playing good-aligned characters. If you haven't noticed, dude, you're playing with a rogue, a bard, a barbarian, and a perpetually drunken wizard - unaligned just makes sense for most of us. And while it's possible to play an asshole who is reluctantly good, you're not doing a very good job of getting making our characters in any way sympathetic to yours.

I'm not looking forward to the next session with him all that much.

Title: Donkey Meets Miss Piggy
Rating: PG (mentions death)
Pairings: #15. Miss Piggy (Muppets)/Donkey (Shrek)
Disclaimer: I don't own the Muppets or Shrek. Possible spoilers for the very end of Shrek 2.
Note: This has taken me months to finally finish. I kinda got out of writing but recently starting to get back into it (a little), and I saw I had started this story last fall but never finished. So it's definitely not my best work, I just wanted to finish it, haha. Hope you enjoy it though.

It would be difficult to find a more confused, attractive, or woefully overdressed young man than Mr Tom Jones in his current state. Not a moment ago he had been attending Lady Bellaston in her fine house, but, upon being shown out by her African page, the view which greeted him was certainly not a city street at twilight. Oh no, he had been quite prepared for that, being the young gentleman of leisure that he now was. But his fine dress and manners became ridiculous when placed in surroundings better suited to his former lifestyle and the temperature of high summer, not an autumn evening in London. The wig, the powders, the fine silks and lace all marked him as the rather foolish country plaything of an older woman, not the sophisticated man of fashion he had believed himself to be.

Caught in the doorway, uncertain of whether he was coming or going, Tom turned in a bemused circle. Luckily -his confusion having quite overpowered the slight embarrassment of his clothing- his wig and coat remained on, thus preserving some propriety in a strange place.

[Typist: The re-entry of one Tom Jones, the prettiest, wickedest, most gentlemanly bastard one may meet in the annals of English literature. Reset, rejournaled, but not retypisted. He has now come from the later part of the novel with no knowledge of his previous (convoluted) stay at the mansion. He is also (thanks to his departure point) quite the 1740s fashion plate at the moment.]

It's been rather a long time since I posted here. *Waves*

Three years ago I wrote a cheerily NC-17 ficlet inspired by the line "If one was going to Hull for a quick temptation, it made sense to nip across the city and carry out a brief moment of divine ecstasy" featuring Crowley giving his rather spirited, eh, blessings on a somewhat troubled priest. Here, btw, if you are interested.

I've often wondered what would have happened when Aziraphale had to repay the favour and tempt someone. After three years of rumination I have finally decided it might go like this. Aziraphale being Aziraphale there's no porn. But there is hot chocolate. There's also Charles Maurice de Talleyrand-Perigord, who wanted his story told and thought his fellow bibliophile would make an excellent confessor.

London, July 1834 - Rites of Absolution.

I hope you enjoy, its good to be back!

Every time he called me princess, it made me want to puke. It was a title I had acquired in my second year, and something I was proud off up until last year. Now, Slytherin Princess just sounds nauseating. If you haven't figured out yet, yeah, I'm in Slytherin, shocked? Don't be. A few years ago, I had made a name for myself in this school, a title, a place that I wasn't willing to give up, just yet.

Harry shuck the hand, the hand that changes his life…
Five years later and all is good in Harry’s eyes all the old deatheaters are now his followers no one has tried to find Voldamort under Harry rain. Harry is with Pansy but has some fun on the side. Greg (Goyle) was with Hermione (who is still best friends with Ron) but only the Slytherins knew. Harry managed to open the chamber of secretes in his fourth year but closed it when the game keeper got arrested for it so no one saw it was him.

Everyone did as Harry instated and they all followed him. Mr Malfoy didn’t care that Harry and Draco kissed in front of him or doing anything they wanted to in any room. Harry was the Malfoy’s master and was it love with the boy of the household. He and Draco got on so well because of so many similarities but the got on with his cousin Holly Lasagne more because of likenesses in there child hood.
